I see both have their own advantage based on yesterday outing with only the nex3.
With a LV, with respect to the nex3, what I see in LV is what I get. I get live histogram while composing the frame and confident the image is as shown on LCD
Using OVF, bokeh and exposure is an after shot product. Sometimes over or under exposed if I don't bear in mind the metering and sorts.
But I do have problems with framing horizontals correctly with the LV, maybe need practice.
For fast response or sports/BIF shoots OVF squash LV bigtime.
Image thru lens -> Sensor -> Processor -> LCD -> Eye will still have lag for such circumstances as compare to OVF -> Eye.
