No problem, shall cancel the leave :) But can I request that priority be given to the people already registered? It is quite stressful to have to be on top of the forum just so as to be the first 20 to register....now the third time liao :P hehe :)

Hi Engr

This is rather dissappointing though. But since it is organized with such situation looming around, I guess we all have no choice. Looking forward to the updated schedule and thanks for all the effort.

So sorry guys. I am also very disappointed after spending a lot of time to prepare the demo videos. We have some foreigners that are alr here and now they came for nothing. In any case, I will be back with at least the stabilizer portion so stay tuned. Oh and yes, I will keep the list of the people who have emailed me as the priority.

My apologizes on behalf of the organizer.

Thanks Engr. Do include the list who have PMed with you too (that includes me...) in the priority for the new schedule. Looking forward to either the full forum or importantly the stabilizer portion.

Thanks for understanding guys. Its' a lot easier to manage if I keep the list. Organiser is very sad as they suffered losses in the last min cancellation but no choice.

Can ask who is the "authorities" that said can't have seminar? I know of several seminars or gatherings still going on regardless, and in fact, MOE has a promotion ceremony on Friday.
 

Hi vince123123, the call off was activated by the venue's "highest authority" who wanted to comply with MOH. I'm surprised to hear about other events. Anyway, below is the formal explaination from the organiser. If you have further questions, please call Expandore for a more detailed explaination.

Videography Techniques Forum"

Following consultation with the authority and MOE/MOH Instructions
to IHLs on Influenza A (H1N1-2009)],
it was determined that all mass gathering event will have to be
postponed until further notice.
Thus, we are sorry to inform that we have to follow this directive
to postpone our event scheduled to be
held on Wednesday 6th May 2009 at XX.

We did attempt to come up with an alternative date and venue but we
were advised that this would be too
impractical at such short notice. Therefore, on behalf of the
committee, we would like to apologize for the
changes, especially to those of you who have already made your
travel and leave plans.

Unfortunately, these were circumstances which are beyond our control
but we intend to make this event
even more spectacular and we hope you can join us then.

Please do share this information with friends, colleagues or
associated who has make the registration.

You will be informed again on the next re-scheduled forum after
receiving better news from MOE/MOH.

I just came back last nite, haven even got the briefing ha ha.. dun worry, i have new sponsers n new plans for the future. Anyway for those who cant join, u should be able to see my demo reel at some booths.
 

Thks for the turn up whoever u were! It was a very quick session with no seats so I hope everyone got away knowing stabs better.
 

Good job engr, well done! You have a lot of experience with stabilsers.

It was good to see the full rig with the double arm, I haven't had the chance before today to see one close up.
 

Thanks engr for the sharing, though its not an actual training, it was very informative. I have picked up really useful tips that's going to help me in my "stabilizing" moving forward. Salute you for your skill and knowledge in this area.

No the Adv video thingy wun be done again within this year. I'm not sure if Expandore will do it next time.

But there r plans to do it the stab thingy one more time. See how it goes but i have to clear my bloody long ICT first!
