ok.. ok.. next time. but when will be the next time? looking forward to it ;)

It was good to meet some of the people who are posting regularly on CS. Good to see Faiz again also (although no chance to talk).

But I have to say that the forum itself was not what I expected. More like a product promotion than "Advanced Shooting Techniques" forum. And somebody needs to beef up his product and technical knowledge before standing up in public again. (Not you Sean of course).

Good to hear some real feedback. I hope many people have given truthful inputs to the organizers so that they know what could be better. A smaller crowd would have been more fun with more interaction I think.

Waaah Sean! I was not there! Was on standby for a $^%@!!! shoot. Ended up editing my own stuff while I drooled about seeing you fly the rigs again.

ha ha dun worry, I will upload the demo reel soon. U can see behind the scenes operation.

i'll agree to that.... alot of selling and it make's no 1 wana come out and share... heh next time go to medios get the movcam i'll operate that 4 u... ;p

So sorry that I couldn't tahan beyond the segment on Convergent Design CF recorder (quite a good piece of hardware tho). Had hoped to chat and share with you guys, but I couldn't stay long anyway. Had to do some last minute prep for my own wedding cinematography workshop the very next day.

Altho we know that this talk was complimentary and every sponsor need to be given some sales air-time, but it could have been designed shorter, and with content that really matters to the audience. I was surprised when each speaker presented info that can be easily found off the internet. E.g., RP's course offerings, Convergent Design's CF recorders' tech info, etc. I was hoping that Sony may share some views on the future of traditional camcorders and SLR adapters given the onslaught of SLR cameras for HD videos. Perhaps the entire event can be tighten into a half day affair the next time?

Nevertheless, I feel that we should still support such events the next time round. I'll still apply to attend. Simply because such events that brings the local videography community together are not common. And I believe that the deliverables will be meatier the next time. I'll also stay to the end too to get to know you guys!

Keep it up!

Woah wasted the chance to meet u. Good input. Actually the intent was to design some kinda sharing beyond what you can find on the net. Something on real experiences. They have sharing session in the US where the wedding people would show their work, and share the behind the scenes. Locally, its a little protected in a way still.

Perhaps we could organize a wedding video sharing in the future.

maybe not just only wedding?
actually i was expecting some movie or commercial cinematographer sharing..
well.. maybe next time.. i will continue my support too.. and hopes to learn some real advance skill :)

That would be nice too. a lot of different interest groups. To get the act together is really not easy. I discovered that when I attempted to do the stabilizer sharing on my own. Would be nice if someone in the industry can afford to get cinematographers to do something.
