Got a call from Cathay. 5D MkII kit (with 24-105 f4) will be available from tomorrow onwards at $5,432.00. Body alone will be coming in later (no dates yet) and will be going for $3,999.00.

Well, that being said, I was referring to whether they have factored in the 'shop discounts' as perhaps due to overwhelming demand, they may have left it at MRSP for now? :dunno: Its like what some of the popular handphone shops do with brand new 'hot' phones. They sell at MSRP for a week or less then drop off to their regular 'discounted' prices thereafter once the product gets saturated in the market.

Think will drop by MS these few days to check with Florence. :think: So far, their prices have been the most consistent for fresh launch products in terms of 'street price'.

Meaning to say, if buy from Australia and ship back to SG, can claim 11% tax rebate in OZ airport? That works out to be ard 3.3k sgd if bought in OZ...hmmm...
