Thanks for viewing. I will be having my wedding on 30th Oct 2004, and I am looking for an actual day photographer for that special day of mine. I know that there are a lot of talented photographers in this forum who might be able to help me, so if it is possible, please PM me the details of the services provided. I would get back to you soonest possible.

I would prefer digital photography, although I am dun really mind having it done in film either. The budget I have got is about $450 to $700, depending on the services rendered. I know it is not alot, but I am on a tight budget because there are other things I need to spent for my wedding, so I hope you guys can understand. :)

Thanks very much for your attention. Cheers.

pay peanuts and you get monkeys.

that's my advice to you.

you can afford to spend thousands and thousands on a wedding - things that will be remembered in the brain, but you don't want to spend like maybe $100 to $300 more on a GOOD wedding photographer - someone who can capture the memories ON PRINT... i don't see the logic.

i can recommend you but i wouldn't. i'll leave the photographers to do their own recommendations. i myself admire a few but it's up to you to find out.

if you really want a recommendation you can PM me coz i don't wanna sell anybody's service here.

how about asking your friends to help instead? then you just need to dish out $20 red packets ;)

To all those kind souls who have responded to my thread, either recommending themselves or somebody else, I'll say a big "THANK YOU" to you all. I am pleasantly surprised to get so much response from fellow clubsnappers who had in some way or another, offer to help me achieve my goals despite the limited budget that I have. You are such a bunch of kind people. :)

To me, however simple my wedding might be, it will be a very special day for me because I am going to marry the woman whom I love most. So I am really grateful to those of you who are willing to document my wedding day as the actual day photographer, regardless of whether you are professionals or freelancers. I really do appreciate your kindness.

I am now consolidating all the details from fellow clubsnappers that have been kind enough to PM me their services packages and details. So please bear with me for a while, and I will contact you as soon as possible. Thank you very much for your attention. Cheers. :)

Incidentally, that was what i wanted to say out too. So dude, better be careful when you list out all your stuff in your clubsnap gallery, esp without watermarks. So many can be leeched.

The pics are proof of the pudding, anyway it's easy to verify the authenticity of the pics. Just ask for 1 or 2 big 3000x2000 "negative pic which is sharp enough, i don't think anyone can interpolate to that big with great details. :bsmilie:

Hi jOhO, Ruthbaby & 2100,

Thanks very much for your advice and recommendation. :)
I will be very careful when arranging with the guys to meet up to see their portfolios, especially when 2 different person have the same set of photos. ;)

So far, I have got quite alot of responses, me & my wife may be arranging some of the guys to see their portfolios. I hope that I can better assess the situation from meeting face-to-face. However, there are a number of guys that have been posting their shots here, so that's another basis for consideration.

Cheers. :)

D30? :D Um.....I think it should be pretty rare. If it's P&S cams, I have done it before for a colleague quite a long time ago (Olympus C5050, somemore with 285HV in manual mode), super difficult (too slow) unless it's posed.... Don't think I have seen anyone using p&s digital cams for paid shoots, though Leica RFs have.

wah stress man... :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

nowadays, sibeh pai tan ar!!! ;p ;p

Not D30, but cameras like D2H and 1D are both 4mp each. :) I've also seen professional wedding photogs using Canon D2000/Kodak DCS520 (2+mp). I am sure there are also D1 users too.

Opps, have forgotten about them 2 fast frame shooters. Aiyah, then request for the 24xx by 16xx original image lor. :D

DC520/620.....that one is like 1999 era? It's been pretty long man! Nope, i will pass for the 2mp output and get a film photog. :)
