Hmm my kit lens doesn't come with any hood =x

DAL lens does not comes with hood.You must get it from outside or CS mass sales

Just placed a reservation for the K-x with SLR Rev. Can't wait!

For a newbie is a Class 6 SD card necessary? I'm looking at Class 4 4GB x2 at the moment.
Also planning to get a hood for the lens.

Class 6 is for HD videos.If you are taking more videos,then get a class 4 or 6.But if you are taking more pictures than videos,a class 2 or 4 will do

Thanks! Guess I'll stick to a class 4 then. The transfer rate from the card to my mac is also a consideration.

So for Kit lenses, which type of hood is better? I'll be using my dual kit lenses for some time. the the 2nd one being 50-200mm. Pardon me asking, I did some searches on ebay for the petal hoods. The pentax ones cost like $50? while some were as cheap as $7 :bigeyes: Was planning to purchase them all once I get my Kx.

Just get yours from manly or CS mass sales from $10-$15.18-55 is 52mm while 50-200 should be 49mm(sorry i dun have this lens:embrass

I'd choose a Class 6 if I was you. Reason is simple:

1. Class 6 is considerably faster than Class 4.

2. Price difference between these two has narrowed down considerably. Many retail outlets in Europe and USA do not even stock Class 4 anymore as a result. In Singapore they are quite easily available though!

3. Class 4 is fast getting obsolete with the arrivals of newer cameras and their high-speed CMOS sensors. Class 6 will enable you to use ALL the features of these cameras. Class 4 will hinder you from using the fast any features that requires faster write-to-memory times.
