wow bro, I really didnt know solm charges sgd$360 for a full cla only. I reckon they only wipe off the dust for u?;p You seem VERY particular about your lenses which is a good thing. But I really dont agreed on servicing a leica every now and then. Maybe Im just lazy, but to each his own, if you have the money. hehehe

It's the lens that drew me to Leica in the first place. Well, that and the fact that it's RF. So yeah, the glass is very important. But you're right though, there is no need to service now and again. I'd advice doing it if and when buying a used lens. In fact, if I didn't send the 24 Elmarit for coding, I'd probably wouldn't have sent it in at all because, like I said, it appeared to be in great condition. The pictures looked good and even the local tech couldn't tell! Goes to show that there's literally more to it than meets the eye when it comes to lenses hehe. :bigeyes:
