Arrgghh... I brought the warranty card to SSC today. The lady told me that it's not a warranty card. It's a warranty application form and I still need proof of purchase. How stupid! Anyway it's written in black & white. And I need to register online and still retain my receipt... anyway I really can't find it and I have to go to MS Colour to get a duplicate to get it registered... my serial number indicates the unit was delivered to MS Colour in Oct 2008... duh!
Well, I received the A900 and it's working well now. Have checked alignment and framing issues yet cos got nothing to shoot. But I'll check it tomorrow cos the warranty for the repair is 7 days I think....
What was the fault? It says:
1) General checking & servicing
2) Cleaning of dust off the sensor
3) Refix mirror unit
There was one part mentioned - AP roller D (service). I assume they serviced that part, whatever that is supposed to mean... there's no charge in the end but the warranty card thing left a bad taste in my mouth... pretty mealy-mouthed about it... anyway, it's in black and white so can't complain...
Hope that the mirror doesn't get loose and the same problem repeats itself.... fingers crossed... end of the month going away, will give it a vigorous workout... hahaha...
