FF, 24MP, 3K.

This sounds like a perfect studio camera to me.
Its quite amazing though, Sony is seriously pulling out all the stops in a VERY strong attempt to gain market share.

Good competition= better cameras, lower prices.

Even though I am a Canon user, still have to say its quite amazing, 98% of functionality for 75% of the price. Kudos to the Sony powerhouse!:thumbsup:
 

FF is finally cheaper...now all can afford...dump those 1.5 BABABa crop sensors:bsmilie:
 

The price is confirmed then... at 2k usd, it's unbeatable :)

Another important key difference is the price. Hopefully can get a body at 2500++ SGD range:bsmilie:

But rather disappointed that it still uses same sensor as A900. Why not the new one? :dunno:

Because of that same sensor that we get very good pricing :) Also don't forget that that almighty D3X also uses the same sensor :sweatsm:

Not the stupid kind of 'idiot' but reflecting mine as well as some others' (who have bought A900) frustration abt the specs vs the price. They are certainly brilliant in the way you think :)

However, there is one good news for me at least...the new lens that's coming :)

i have to agree that the high ISO performance may not be the best but i have come to accept that this model is targeted at studio snappers. while i still want a D700 equivalent FF in Sony body, I will buy the A850 for its worth.

A900 @ close to 4k - I cannot swallow though many brothers can but A850 @ close to 3k - that i can justify to my wallet :sweatsm::sweatsm:

anyone ordered it yet? when will it be coming?
