A850 and A900 FW coming soon?

Just nice for my new A850! ;p

CZ 16-35mm, 50 F1.4, 100mm macro, use back 28-75mm F2.8 (KM) and 5600. Still need to spend a lot on accs.

Next time then chiong again, after vit M recovers. :o

LOL X again there go,don't u agree it is a yawn transmission since day one of purchase on FF ..........:bsmilie:

But then again, I'm quite happy with the A850 noise performance up to ISO1600. Have u guys A850/A900 users try the 'Neutral' creative style? I found that the noise performance from this creative style is the best, no doubt the saturation is lower i'm getting about the same color as 'standard' creative style by boosting the saturation +2 or +3. Try it out.

When shooting wedding, I always use available light now with 85mm or 50mm f1.4. Its normal to use ISO1600 or sometimes even up to ISO3200. Hope they can improve it further to make ISO3200 more usable.

Hmmm i feel tt our threshold for noise on the alpha are very different.

for someone who shoots stock and needs to stay iso100/200... i find tha the a-900 is noisy at iso400.

then again it probably is just me la

Actually ISO3200 is still manageable for me, they just need to tweak anything above ISO3200 to be more usable.

Took below shot in cRAW with CZ85 @ ISO3200 further processed with noiseware

it looks clean but a lot of details gone.

For noiseware, try Noise Ninja, not bad but not free.

Dude, that was a rumor... there's no firmware!

 Really looking forward..!

Do not hope for it, they will not up load the FW as they are more interested to sell their gear more than to waste time to develop the so call FW,Unlike cannon or NIkon customers they will be upgrade soon should their cam have an issue.

Well, what is the issue you are experiencing? Banding? Black spots at bright lights? Vertical lines?

If your main concern is the ISO noise, that IS NOT AN ISSUE. The A900 FW is working as designed, and we have not been plagued by all the bugs the other camps have had.

Any improvements Sony hands out are not issue fixes, but freebie improvements.

That's really depend on individual, some may except the noise level but with no others alternative, and others using noise ware to remove and down with details, whereas the Nikon are also using the same sensor of Sony but are able to shoot with higher ISO in low light situation, noise control levels are much better and a cleaner picture. Off course I 'm not here to debate on this matter ,but it is also a matter of facts. May be some may argue can lower the MP and introduce KT methode. If that is the case; why the 24 megapixels than? Asking of improvement in FW upgrading is way to retain good clients base and is not really a compulsory for Sony to do it.Than why is the need for the improvement of ISO on A 550? The flagship of A 700 is also delay on launching due to improvement on the ISO as well as the video capabilities.Don't we all agree that thing are suppose to be improving rather than to stay as it is. Lastly that is only my personal opinion and does not afffect my feeling for Sony,as also a user of Sony Cam would like to see more improvement and better product from Sony as well.
