A7r vs RX1

Seems like nowadays sharpness is the only criteria in choosing cameras and lenses.

One of the ideas was that some legacy lenses are very sharp and that is true versus stuff like the kit lenses and low end primes. However new lenses like the Sigma 35mm and Zeiss FE 35 are just incredible.

It's because distortion, CA, colours and lighting can be adjusted in the new darkroom of the computer. Sharpness can be adjusted too, but not so much. It has also spawned a legion of PP spotters.

You can wait for dxo to test how good the FE35 2.8 is. For 1k the lens better be sharp haha. But I will not pay 1k for 35 f 2.8 hehehe. I suspect the sigma will still be sharper den the fe 35. Based what I saw during the tcc hands on session where I brought my 5d3 with sigma 35 1.4

i'm amazed the author can write one whole article based just on MTF graphs and postulation without actually handing both cameras in hand to test....

It's more than that. He actually sold his D800E and E-M5 before his A7 arrived and had to shoot with a Phone cam. Still, his phone cam pics were great. haha
