A7r mk2

LAEA3 will work better for all lenses with SSM focus motor as all 399 PDAF points can be used. LAEA4 is the only adaptor that will work with screw driven lenses. but you are limtied to the 9 AF points on the adaptor and you lose 1/3 - 1/2 a stop of light from the translucent mirror.

I hope there will be a LAEA5 that drives screw mount and does not have the translucent mirror! Maybe some third party should consider making this like metabones or techart.

seems like techart have a new firmware for the eos adaptor

TECHART Publish "EOS-iNEX II" most recent Form wear Ver.3.0!
- Supports Sony α7RⅡ.
Support Sony α7RⅡ 399-point image plane phase difference AF "Fast Hybrid AF" system that has been installed in, is greatly improved AF speed.
Continuous AF when using Sony α7RⅡ · (AF-C) corresponds.
• To improve the compatibility problems and other features of the lens.

actually no. it does not work. I have tried the new V3.0 firmware. Downgraded back to the V2.01 beta. the V2.01 works more reliably with more lenses. After updating to V3.0, some lenses no longer AF with the techart. The V2.01 already works with the 399 PDAF points like the metabones IV.

if you look at the firmware for the contax AF adaptor has (a7r2) in brackets beside the firmware. The EOS one does not say (A7r2)

the shop is outside or inside of the departure?

The T1 shop is inside departures. the T3 shop is in public area. You can ask the T3 public shop to check and transfer stock from inside too

buy outside you dont need air ticket. you just need the changi rewards card....

i just had a friend call to enquire about the T3 electronics shop. they do not have stock at T3 public side, and they are not allowing transfer of the A7R2 from T1 departure side to T3 public side.

Looks like Sony Price control at play again?

Having used the A7rII for about a month, i must say its extremely easy to live with much, more than the a7r.
A short clip taken handheld @f1.4 with the CV 50 f1.1 , ibis seem to be working a little better than on the a7ii.

Can u explain on what basis is the ibis on A7rii is working a little better then on the A7ii? Are both ibis different in a way that's why it is a little better on A7Rii? I'm curious.

There were discussions on other forums that the ibis on the a7rii has been tweaked over the a7ii....With regards to video application, I've done lotsa personal travel vids on the a7ii and even with the firmware upgrades, some clips taken with the a7ii do show micro jitters every now and then with ibis on.

Havent really seen any of it yet on my a7rii thus far......Thats all i can say. I believe there's no real difference with regards to stills.

Thanks for the explanation. I guess with the price point of the A7Rii it has got to be some what better then the A7ii in certain aspect.

any special deal on a7rii today or on the last day of comex pls share...
I went on the first day nothing much offered

The a7rII is better in ANY aspect then the a7II, that made me confused since the previous camera 7 and 7r where 2 different cameras and the a7r wasn't better, they were just 2 different product line.. Now tho the a7rII is an upgrade over both series 7 and 7r...that's the reason I sold my a7II and get the r2... And what I can say is I don't regret it at all,.. By far the most versatile camera ever used :-)
