A7r mk2

I'm in KL and just went pass a camera store at Midvalley. Apparently pre order in Malaysia starts from 1st to 16th Aug at a whooping price of RM11,999 (SGD 4311). Metabones IV here is much much cheaper though. Speaking of adapters, is there any other recommended adapters for the Canon tse-17mm other than Metabones IV? I found a brand called Fotodiox but it doesn't mention if it's good to go with the tse at full shifts with no vignettes.

New launches usually Malaysia is higher price.
After the price stabilize, their price will be lower than us. KL the best price should be at Low Yat,did u see from there?

sony doesnt have international warranty only has has warranty in country of purchases

Hard to describe, I'm only shooting for now and looking at the pict on the back of the screen, (I'm enjoying the ca,era too much to import the pict on my pc) plus I don't shoot jpg, but I can share my impression with Sony sensors... I started with entry level canon, then oly(non Sony sensor) And after em5 (Sony sensor) the xt1 and now Sony.. My feeling at looking at the pict from al this cameras are the following.. Canon has a magenta cast, pleasant if you shoot white and Asian ppl Oly (before Sony) has quite appealing skin tones, don't remember any strong cast on that Oly em5 my first experience with Sony sensor.. Yes strong yellow cast Fuji great colors but no detail at all so I sold it.. Sony 7xx again strong yellow cast.. I can't tell now how the new 7r compare because to afford it I sold all my cameras :-) so I can't compare directly, but it seems to be less strong (or maybe I don't mind it anymore) So to me every camera has some weird color cast to it, I see them as a feature more then an error, and again i work my pict quite a lot in LR and o don't shoot jpg so I don't mind them cause I just make the color that I want in my pict.. Hope that helped... If you want I'm try to shoot a pict on some famous shopping mall where the lighting never changes and post it here, so you can go to the same spot and check how is it,,,

Thanks Lucio, you've been extremely helpful.

In the digital age, I went from Nikon D100->NEX 7->EM5->A7II. Color wise, I'm most smitten by the EM5. I don't find the yellow cast as strong as the A7II. Per your suggestion, I've switched to Neutral and it has been much better for me. I don't see this as a error too. Just like I'll always use Kodak when I'm photographing people and Fuji for natural landscapes. It's just a scheme and I just wanna check with people with more experience with the camera what their findings might be.

I've yet to play around with the camera much and given that A7RII uses a different sensor technology as the A7II, would there be a shift in the tint ? Looking forward for more in-depth reviews that should be coming on the Internet and more images from our fellow Clubsnappers.

I didn't go to lowyat. The price though was printed on the Sony poster in bold at the shop. So if it's a controlled pricing launch, i doubt visiting lowyat would make any difference right? :)

Most likely it don't make any or much difference as new launches are usually priced at premium.

If u r considering getting 2-3 or more batts can Try bhphoto. it's selling @ S$70/batt. Even with shipping u still save money. don't understand why Spore is selling it @ ridiculous prices.

Can use powerbank to charge and use @ same time

You can have Sony in the country of purchase issue you a Tourist Limited Warranty or TLW. This will transfer the warranty to your country of residence. I did this with the 16-35 ZA that I purchased in Hong Kong several years ago.

Good idea. What's the charging time via powerbank?

no idea but Tamiyaevowrc say can charge and use at the same time so just get a long long usb cable and plug in to the power bank and leave it in the pocket as u shoot

Went 313 to test out the A7RII earlier. I particularly want to test the high ISO noise by comparing to my A7S. It's pretty good!

A7S with 55mm f1.8 at 1/100 f8 ISO6400 (RAW with no NR)

A7RII with the same 55mm f1.8 at 1/100 f8 ISO6400 (RAW with no NR)

Then, I went to up the ISO to max that A7RII can support.

A7S with 55mm f1.8 at 1/640 f16 ISO1024000 (RAW with NR)

A7RII with 55mm f1.8 at 1/640 f16 ISO1024000 (RAW with same NR as above)

Now my hands very itchy ...
