Define "best place" that you have in mind?

Do you mean:
- Cheapest place to buy?
- Most convenient to get there?
- Best service provided?
- used or brand new A7/R?
- which countries to purchase?

Or are you asking which shops still have ready stocks? You can get better help with more clarity of what you need....

If looking to buy in Singapore, there are always the few standard shops that we go to, plus a long list of Sony Stores that you can check by browsing Sony SG website.

Thank you for the quick reply. Perhaps you can point me to the Standard shops you were referring to.

Seems that you are new? You can try from any of these:
Alan Photo
Artworkfoto
Cathay Photo
Click Max Photo
John 3:16
MsColor
Orient Foto
Parasilk
SLR Revolution

You can also get the adapter from Cathay, which is also more reputable one in the list.

there are also people selling on the clubsnap buy/sell section, can get some savings on cameras less then 2 weeks old, often there will be ppl with buyer's remorse. Adaptors if you have the patience can get them cheaper on ebay or CS buy/sell as well.

Got my A7R last night. Photo courtesy of Red Dawn. I've got a few issues with the ergonomics but first impression is good!

Is the A7r a difficult camera to use? Can it point & shoot with accuracy most of the time? What about using Medium frame size- is the file size more manageable & less blur? (If 36mp is needed, it is a nice standby option :-))

Thanks for the info ZoomZ and ricleo. :)

nice, look forward to what architectural shots you can do with the a7r

At the moment, I am not using the A7R for any architectural work due to the lack of native wide angles. I have tried adapting my F mount Zeiss lenses to it. However, focus peaking is not giving me consistent results and is therefore, unreliable. Most assignments don't come with 2nd chance so I can't risk to adapt the A7R into my work yet.

Try the canon TSE-17 with the metabones EOS-NEX adaptor mkIII.

I read somewhere that it works :)

I don't have that TS-E lens anymore. Further, its Metabone adaptors which are problematic for me. I will not use any adaptors at all.

To allow the a7 to talk to the rmt-dslr2, u need to go to camera menu under setup (6th item, right most), under item list 3, under remote control, set remote control to 'on'. as to bulb mode, if u turn the shutter dial all the way to the long exposure speed u will finally get bulb, but not sure is there a faster way

That should be the only way until Sony puts a bulb button on on the camera :D

Thanks....I kind of figured it out.

So many buttons on the remote and honestly I not too sure what I can do with them

Long exposure only goes up to 30 secs, no Bulb mode beyond that, Hmmmmm.....

Try magnified peaking. Ultimate focusing tool and fast. You can get good wide angles with LA-EA4 adapter and Sony A-mount wides.
