Hi guys
I am going on a holiday in new zealand soon. Was thinking was a wide angle lens to capture the beauty of the vast landscape. Currently I have the 35mm, plus the kit 28-70. You guys think its good enough?
Is there a good and reasonably priced wide angle lens that I should consider?
albertri said:depends if you're taking the mountains and your vantage point is far even 50mm could take a very nice Landscape.... sometimes you don't need UWA or wide angle for landscape your 35mm should be ok... rightnow there's no native wide for FE saw some sample pix that SEL10-20 could be used with some vignetting
that's the title I don't want to be associated with bro don't want to be in trouble![]()
Ahh....thanks. I will stick to the 35mm
I suggest you play around with your 35mm use it for landscape see how you would like it and also be able to adjust to the lens fov

if you are willing to manual focus there are quite a number of alternatives for the A7. the 15mm cv works quite well with a7 (not with the r)and is rather cheap, and the SEL 10-18 like what albert pointed to is a viable alternative too, usable between 12-16mm. some pics below with the cv 15mm. if u look at the MBS shot, that is the typical corner purple you may get when shooting scenery with blue skies, i left it there on purpose but you can actually remove the purple quite easily in photoshop.
Wah bro. Fast u. Poison ppl liao?
haha i am thinking la. of the 10-18. seems like a good workaround
