Btw I saw this Nice Full leather wrap for Sony A7/A7R, come with strap too. Very nice eh! But too bad I bought Gariz already.

Exactly. Depending on lighting I use mine quite a bit for shooting long.
I'll have an eye open when the NEX-7 replacement appears, but it'll have to be more than just an incremental improvement to catch my interest. The NEX-7 is a tough act to follow in APS-C format. And in some ways it compares favorably against the A7.
Bro here.. After being poisoned so deeply.. I am converting now.![]()
Any advice for wide angle lens since the new samyang not out yet in singapore?
Trying to search the threads and google but looks like cannot really find the answer..
Thanks in advance
IMO, that design will hinders access to the buttons and dials :nono:
for wide angel lenses I would advice to get non range finder lenses if you're ok with MF. RF lenses tends to still have magenta cast specially on A7r. I am currently using Leica 21mm f4 a.k.a Super Angulon, waiting for my 17mm Vivitar. For Native FE mount the widest so far is the A7 Kit lens
I agree bro also until the FE lens line up matures there will still be APS-C E-Mount user... not all ppl would like to do MF... I am thinking hard to let go of my NEX-7 with only few E-Mount I have Sigma 19mm and 35/f1.8 this is my combo when I travel light![]()
Bro, I let my first NEX-7 go a few months ago when the shutter count passed 40K and the warranty was almost over. But I got another copy, and it's always in my bag. The instant 1.5X "zoom" comes in very handy when stalking skittish critters!
If the replacement has any compromises or cut corners, as camera manufacturers are sometimes prone to do when following up a successful product, then I'll just get another copy of the NEX-7 before they disappear.
To me, this camera was a big turning point for Sony, where they combined innovation with a leap forward in image quality. Let's hope the replacement will build on that.
Hope to see some outstanding photos from your Vivitar 17mm... Keke.. I m still pondering over this lens or the Minolta MD 20/2.8...
