A7R & A7 User Thread! Let's gather here!

In the menu of A7r, there is a heading called Anti - blur. Sorry I can't be of more help as I don't own that camera & it was at the showroom. But definitely, it was an anti - blur function.

i think i managed to find what you are talking about. it is one of the scene mode selections where you can select twilight, sunset, night-shot etc. anti-motion-blur scene mode.

but as i said, will only be useful for static objects.

I've used the anti blur mode. It keeps the shutter speed high, but uses multiple shots to effectively denoise high ISO shots, so it's effective with moving objects like people. Main caveat is that it's only for JPEG.

i can't see how it can be effective for moving objects if it combines multiple shots. same theory as auto HDR doesn't work when you have moving objects in the shot, you will get ghosting in the stuff that moves

It seems to select one shot and then uses information from the others to denoise more effectively. Not sure exactly how it works. Try it.

Here's the A7r, Battery Grip, LA-EA4 and long 1kg lens. Handles fine.

Does anyone use canon FD lens on their A7 ?

Am sure many potential owners would be interested to know how the old, but noteworthy Minolta 70-210mm f4 "Beercan" performs on the A7/A7r (with the LA-EA4 adapter). There were mixed but generally positive reviews on it with the A77. Any experience from current owners?

Haven't tried it out yet on my beercan. Keep forgetting to :p

Will wait for your feedback eagerly, for sure. I also wonder how the configuration would look like, with the big Beercan plus the adapter on a small body.

Big Beercan (75-300) and LA-EA4 adaptor adds alot of heft to the A7. Balance is perfectly fine. AF speed is fast and very accurate.

Unfortunately, I don't have a pic of the setup, and office firewall does not allow me to upload.

have FD 20mm f2.8 and 50 f1.4. shopping on ebay to look for a adapter. pls share with us how is you FD 50mm f1.7 on A7

Try the fotga ones if u dun intend to splurge on the adaptor. Quite good reviews on them.
