well.. yr fren trusted u so that he/her lend u their precious.. so.. its right to compensate them the same or even better camera.. if not who dare to lend to u next time? somemore.. a price of $235 is damn cheap i think..
so for this A70.. yes.. u can try to source for a housing easily.. wont cost u a limb or leg..

Well if you don't need it urgently, then wait a while lor, might have a couple of good deals pop up, try ebay also. Our resident DSLR master scours ebay alot and gets good, cheap reliable equipment, at half the price.

I think A70 is getting pahsed out now a days, the new ones are the A75's....

if you can't find a A60, u'll have to replace it with the next better model. I think it's an obligation u owe your friend and you better do it fast if you wanna keep the friendship, even if the person is your spouse or family.

yeah its only fair to replace equipment or stuff that you have borrowed from ppl. with the same model/value or better/higher ones.

$300 bucks for A70!.. man.. i need to strike toto!

Actually I have been toying with the idea of selling off my A70 with housing to upgrade for a housing for my D70. If you are interested, make me an offer for my cam and housing. Both in tip top condition, I dive only 2 times a year so this housing have been down for only 3 to 4 dive trips... Camera just serviced...

Yes yes I'm going to replace the camera. You all sound like big brothers and sisters lecturing me :cry: But I was hesitating coz I think his casing already had problems before and it wasn't the first time it was flooded. So I just tot I'll find the cheapest offer to replace

well, if you knew that there are problems with his housing, then you should not have borrowed it. nonetheless, it will prove difficult to argue that his housing is faltering now that it flooded in your hands and not his...
