hmm, I can't say for sure will it be a regret or not as everyone has differing needs. Do try the camera at Fujifilm studio to your heart's content before plonking the money for it. If u wish to try certain lenses, just ask nicely and I believe the staff there will be glad to oblige.
I've got an irrational fear that the EVF will deteriorate over time rendering the camera useless. Probably baseless but that's me. Other than that, the X-T1 is a very solid package. Perfect for travelling and daily shots

electronics stuff are bound to spoil over time.....LCD panels are notorious for this. if they can last 4 to 5 years i consider it ok.
the Canon SLR i bought more than 20 years ago i think have become useless because the LCD panel is spoilt, can't see the read out.....even though the mechanical parts are still ok.
I went from A7s to Fuji XE1 some time ago, hahaha, heaven and earth man...but nothing beats Fuji colour! That said, I do miss using my legacy lenses without worries of crop factor on the A7 system though...
