A6000

Hihi.. any bros and sis care to share some high iso pics frm this cam? Tyty

Haha, you and many people i know..the trend is now Mirrorless...I too came from 60D to 5dMk3...first mirrorless was the EOS M and it was horrible and that made me lose hope...but then...i realise it wasn't a problem with Mirrorless..it was a problem with Canon being years behind everyone...so...i made the ultimate jump and sold all my Canon away and went A7r and Nex6 and now A6000...Alwasys chasing the latest in technology hehe.

No EOS M2?
;)

Used to be able to take the weight... but now with 2 running kids, it seem like going for field camp everytime I go out haha

IMO, Canon mirrorless don't seem to be as good as other brands and agreed with Kei that the interface was not that good.
I still like my canon dslr, just that I'm open to other brands that can produce better product.

How's the shutter sound when used for everyday shooting? Is it as bad/obvious as a7?

Hmmm...A60000. I want to try it too =)
Btw, 313 somerset is a good place to test all the sony alpha cameras & lens

Thanks for all the replies. I did try it before and it was still audible. Just wondering if it'll be very noticeable when i bring it out for street shooting.

Really keen to get this to replace my x100 as a 2nd camera to my loud a7

be more specific; all batteries will lose their charge even when the camera's switched off.

you need to state to what degree the batteries are being drained.

I don't think it is the nature of self-charge. lipo battery self-discharge should less than 10 % per month.
It is half gone within a week.

Hmmm. Not used to telephoto lens. Shoot too much using uwa and standard lenses already

12mp is a nono for landscape works for me.

Port the firmware over to a7!

A7/R for Landscape
A7S for streetshoot

both can share lens. best !

It also depends on the environment temperature. Did you store them in a freezer? :)

Why? Do you wanna have blurry photos? At that megapixel count the rolling shutter makes no sense for stills. The A7/R have already an electronic shutter like any other video capable CMOS camera, it just can't be activated for stills for a good reason. It's too slow.

Used the a6k in heavy drizzle over here in Melbourne. No problemo.

BTW, I realised in video mode, there is no way to tune the settings? Struggled very much trying to shoot handheld stills and videos of penguins in low light (and banned photography So have to be very stealth) environment with the 18105 f4

I recommend the Handevision 40mm f/0.85: http://www.amazon.de/Handevision-Ob...devision+Objektiv+40mm+f0,85+für+Sony+E-Mount
