A6000

Then i must be one of the lucky 3. Click! called me and i told them i want body only and they told me to go down for a deposit this week which i am going later. lol

I put my name with them too. They called me to inform me of the pre-order opening up. By the time I went down yesterday, no more body-only. Not too sure they actually reserve the sets for you until you place hard cash into their hands though, I could be wrong.
Best of luck!

:/ i got very tight budget, most i can get is with the Kit-Lens. Will the Pre-order price from street cheaper than Sony Retailer?

It will be the same if you are getting the A6000 only or plus kit lens.

Only price difference will be additional lens purchase hitching on the official PWP deal...potentially cheaper.

Just got my a6k body only at Click!. Heng I am one of the lucky 3.

Congrats!
Maybe I was too skeptical and not exactly enamored by the way the sales person go about getting the pre-order down.
I suspect that if it was the lady who spoke to me to inform me about the pre-order had attended to me, I would have given them my business.

Hmm when they call you that time you never tell them you want body only? Cos when they called, I told them I just want the body only and they say can. I told them just now also and the lady said they only allocated 3 sets of body only sets and if want to buy body only from them have to wait for next shipment which will be in May. Anyway I already got the 1670Z so no point for me to get the kit lens.

told the lady. But I only told her I will be going down the next few days depending on my schedule. She also did not say she reserved for me. I assumed that means it's first come (to physical shop) first serve basis, so did not even bother to tell them I called them earlier.
Oh well, maybe there is one extra body-only set up for grabs?;)
Doesn't really matter, cos I think I might have gotten a slightly better deal from the final dealer I went to anyway;p

Noobie here :)
Are you saying that the lenses on offer now with PWP is cheaper than if I were to try to buy after the pre-order period? Will the same offers still remain after the pre-order period, or say during the Sony Day sales?

To answer your own question, just give a call to the few popular dealers mentioned here and check on the prices for the lens alone. Then you do a comparison with the Sony A6000 PWP prices.....you will get the answer.

I am saying with bargaining skill... and if you are buying the A6000 anyway, you can get the lens on PWP at prices less than the current street price (which is already lower than the PWP prices)

Eh bro, many thanks! I usually avoid pre-ordering anything before reviews hit. Not anyone's fault, just a preference of mine.

Yup totally understand where you are coming from. I usually don't too but learnt a lesson when Sony PS4 was pre-ordering...and you guess it, I skipped the pre-order and it took me a few months to get my hands on a set after launch.

Anyway, not trying to convince you, but A6000 was first released in HK/TW followed by Europe since the mid of March. So if you search on google and on DPreview forums, there are loads of end-user reviews on camera. If you want to try your hands on one, Sony Stores have them (Wisma and funan ones confirmed have).

Most or all Sony style stores should already have the A6k on display and for you to rape. Just tried at marina outlet.
Basically the A6k menu is sort of or identical to that of the A7. Auto iso and exp com selection in M mode!! Something that the current NEX6 can't do.

Nice synonym for 'test as much as you like'. :)

If you want you can even ask the Sony staff to run towards you while you test the tracking and burst mode :) they will do it! Good exercise for them also hehe..that's actually what my friend did at Sony IMM :)

Hi guys, fyi.. yesterday I made a pre order body only with cathay.. u all can approach them if u all buying..

hi guys
can i check with u guys, which lens are good to buy with A6000? i am undecided to keep the kit len? to buy the 16-70mm? the 50mm 1.8 or 35mm 1.8?
i am new to mirrorless camera. Only own a nikon D90 which is too bulky for me to carry with me wherever i go for gathering or such. i took mostly portraits and group gathering photos.

any advice? also is the macro 30mm f3.5 any good? feel like buying one for closeup shots since i love taking pictures of flowers.
