Wah the SEL35F18 is holding its value quite well. PwP price is $547 which is about $13 less than when I first bought it one year ago IIRC.
2nd hand price drop like bird sai.

The A6000 silver body looked very nice but each have their own preferences.
I am looking to purchase the A6000 kit but new to Sony system, may I know which type of filters produced well with Sony on portraits shot in daylight and night time?
Thanks.
Ya..no filter is the best
Depends which lens lah..I definately not going to put a filter on a kit lens because well, it's pointless...
But i will always put a filter on an expensive lens. I rather clean the filter than the lens element..
The only thing i use to clean is my t-shirt so i'm definately not going to use that on the actual lens itself
I have dropped my lenses before and broke a few filters in my day..so filters make good protection..that's all their good for..
Having said that, all my lenses use B+W MRC Nano filters
Will get a filter to protect the expensive FE len.
What is the filter diameter on Sony len?

Alamak. Go easy man. As for filter size, it is simple and basic task of photographer. You can see the text on rim of the lens ring(front).Spoonfeed you. It's on the lens itself. Or you can see from the box. Or you can search sony.com or sony.com.sg. I am such a good bitch tonight.

Since most of FE lenses are Zeiss lenses,
Zeiss filters http://www.zeiss.com.sg/camera-lenses/en_sg/camera_lenses/accessories/uv_filters.html
or Sony Zeiss filters http://store.sony.com/gsi/webstore/...vice-Show?CategoryID=XMQKmUBwED4AAAFAcZYihoTf
would be fine.
B + W is okay too depends on your budget and the store you buy from.
Is it really cheaper from Amazon?I normally buy my B+W filters from Amazon. Most of the B+W range are eligible for Amazon Global Free Shipping. Buy 1 to 2 filters can easily hit the min amount for free shipping, else just jio jio a few friends to tag along your order
Depends which lens.they are all different in size
but Sony usually uses 49m or 62m or 69mm...well, those are the 3 siezes i have.
Another reason why i like B+W is it's made of Brass..and under hot sun when you put a Cir Pol on an aluminium filter, the cir pol sometimes gets stuck because of the heat..Brass doesn't have that problem..
hehe i presume you mean 67mm and not 69mm that will be a odd diameter for filter threads.
Brass has its advantages, but also its own disadvantages. In the unlikely event that you drop the lens, a stuck brass alloy filter will be much harder to get removed vs a aluminium alloy filter like hoya. Experienced it myself in the past. dropped/dented hoya aluminium, just cut away the filter ring. b+w brass, stuck to the lens, had to ask fatique to help me remove the filter hehe.
Hi guys, does anyone which camera shop sells the silver body only (without kit lens)? I tried calling Alan Photo, Cathay, Ms Color and SLR with no luck. I know the US online stores have them but I would like to have a local warranty. Any luck here?
Thank you!
