A6000

lol...different worth for different person I guess;)

Before that i was damn hook. Even ask Click! to call me when it is here. Saw TK fb it is here liao quickly rush down to see. Then hold it in my hand... then... walked off... Haha

Went to TK to see this. Not impressed. Not going to pay $100 over for this half casing. Walked away a happy man.

Is it that bad? I am using the same on for my A7r..was using it for the nex6 also..
Was thinking of getting it for the a6k as well..unfortunately my a6k is silver...there's no casing that matches the colour :(

I found the issue with the AFA and Digital zoom even though it's set to Optical only...

When you set the JPG size to less than 24MP, somehow it turns digital zoom back on and AFA has some issues working...in 24mp..everything works as it should...strange..

Why is that strange? When the camera is set to a resolution below the native one the digital zoom doesn't need crop or blow up the image to the desired resolution so a bit of additional zoom will come for free. Well, it should.

Don't really understand.... is it similar to how a FF lens gaining 1.5 focal length when put on APS-C sensor?

My idea is that 24mp on APS-C when you choose say 12 mp resolution, it just use the smaller central area of the sensor.... effectively gaining crop factor?

When you set it to 12MP it doesn't use a smaller portion of the sensor area, it scales the image down from 24MP to 12MP. Since your desired output resolution is 12MP anyway it simply makes no difference if the digital zoom is off or on up to the point where the crop leaves less than 12MP. Cropping (digital zoom) between 12MP and 24MP won't degrade the image so it would make zero sense in deactivating it completely, it comes for free.

Anyone notice a diff in their battery?? :D

The one that comes with my A6000 body is a NP-FW50 1020mAh Made in China battery.

The one that comes as a gift is a NP-FW50 1080mAh Made in Japan battery.

:D
