Kidding only lah ! :bsmilie: ...if really all old farts go out together, the pace would be really slow ie: whole day outing only shoot 10 shots apiece.

Minolta Big Beercan :thumbsup::bsmilie:

nice colors and sharpness is this the 70-210 constant f4? like it bro...

its the Big Beercan, so its not the 70-210 f4 i guess? more like it is the 75-300 one.

Bro alphabeta's right, it a 75-300mm, which evolved into the Sony SAL 75-300mm F4.5-5.6
This lens is good and sharp from 75 to 200mm after which it starts to get soft.

Somehow, the minolta version seems to have better colors (I guess it's what they call the "Minolta colors") :bsmilie: ...something to do with the coatings ?

Nice bird head shots Ghostfit ! I had that lens too! Very solid and heavy ! And believe or not, it is my prefered walkabout lens on my A550 ! LOL

I would be very glad to join in the outing and I am not into the age cat yet too LOL

its sharp nice... will try to get my hands (if budget permit) on these so called beercan lens lols. hmmm I think this could be the lens I might be looking for :)

16-80 + 75-300 and maybe 35mm f1.8 :lovegrin::sweat:

Not really ! :bsmilie: ...cannot compare with the Sony 70-200mm f2.8 G lens for sharpness or IQ !

...I've got the Sigma DG Macro 70-300mm and this Big Beercan but the one I'm really looking forward to is the new Tamron 70-300mm Di LD USD - Alpha mount ...which is not yet released, the samples photo taken by Nikon users shows this lens to be really very good !

hehe I am more looking into budget side so if Tamron would be bang foryour bucks I think its a good buy. The Sony G lens is way out of my reach

Many are comparing that Tamron to the Sony 70-300mm G lens ! ...at less than 1/3 the price, I'm sold :bsmilie:

yeah true bro... I'm just a mere hobbyst and photography to me is more like my weekend past time and to relax from week long work loads and stress so I gues photo quality is not the most top of my list, to me if it is pleasing to my eyes I am good enough already... So far i am seeing tamron a good alternative for Sony or sometimes even to CZ... I dont do pixel peeping (I'm no peeping tom) so to me as long the photo is sharp enough I am good to go :)

Share some shots taken with the following settings, DR Lvl 1, Vivid C1 S2 Shp1. I am starting to get used to this settings and seems pretty alright now on my computer screen.
