some night shots to share.. taken with 50mm/f1.8.. must say that the a550 is really good for its low light performance.. glad i made this upgrade.
first time shooting night shots.. wonder what type of lens would perform better?

your 50mm would be good for lowlight handheld shots, otherwise using a tripod would be good too.
Seems like you're not really pushing the iso on your a550? all shot with pretty low iso
I also just upgraded from A300 to A550 not long ago!
Care to share which mode did you use as well as your setting?
I think if it's hand held, F1.8 would be good. Else if you are using a tripod, i believe any type of lens should do you good.
Hi everyone, I just got my A550, I wonder if everyone shoot with D-Range on or off ? Also the Vivid setting seem too strong and saturated when view on my computer, do anyone have that problem ? Thanks
i shoot with D-range off..i don't see a big difference with on or off though...
On my LCD screen abit strong but on PC is slightly better. It depends on ur preference on color i guess.
For example this is shot in vivid. What do u think of the color?

D Range off during normal shoot. Shoot with D Range when ur subject turns dark due to the glaring background.
For example a person sitting indoor with glaring sunlight at the background.
