Hi guys,
thanks for your comments... I like capturing people quite a bit as you guys can probably tell by now. Its the people that make up the wedding and i love capturing emotive and spontaneous moments. There is an element of luck involved in capturing these decisive monets or expressions and that is perhaps what makes it all the more valuable to me personally.
With regards to capturing the essence of Bangkok in this series...I am afraid it is quite difficult given the days proceedings. Anyways..why should we? This is after all a simple wedding and not a bridal shoot in Bangkok. The title is named as such only because it was a wedding held in Bangkok. I was basically sharing with friends, that if we didnt mention it was in bangkok, most would have thought it was held in singapore! It was a fairly simple event...church in the morning and dinner in a small restaurant in the evening. I think if it was a bridal it would have been easier capturing the essence of bangkok. However, a big difference i have observed about weddings held overseas is that the couple and the guests are generally more relaxed. Basically, its more like a holiday... for everyone!
That said I will be covering two weddings in Paris in August. Now...that shd be quite different! One is gonna be held in a castle in Burgundy! I am so looking forward to it. Ha.
