Are those photos taken at the top carpark roof of blk 32* Sengkang east way??? I did saw alot of lightning come from Johor side. There was once I went home to pick up my gear and went back, the lightning STOPPED. In the end went home empty handed. By the way very pictures you got there and thanks for sharing.

My house is facing the same direction, about 2 blocks to the left on the top floor and I never have a chance to take these shots. Perhaps it's time I invest in a tripod.

Fascinating pictures posted and aptly titled, with a bit of luck too.
Shooting lightning is similar to fishing, sometimes come back empty handed or got some ikan bilis type of flashes.

Yes correct.
I could not manage to take out the remote in time.
Also the tripod was not a sturdy one, so when I press and hold the shutter, I got this slight shake.

Next time, I really want to be prepared....

awesome shots ! i had far too many fail attemps in capturing lightning, your shots sure motivates me to pick up and try again. thanks for sharing. remote shutter as in using the remote control ?

wow this is stunning.. seems like we've both 'captured' lightning in different forms..

i think more often than not i get scared but lightnings that came too close.. and of course the thunders..
