Hello Dan,

Yes India is really photogenic but sometimes its rather frustrating, over-crowding, heat, and persistent touts, etc can really make it unbearable for less patient people. Film or digital doesn't really matter, it's just a matter of preference. Some prefer water-colours, some prefer oil paintings. I use it because of the somewhat larger dynamic range and the "un-clean" look. Just scan the negatives after developing to convert them for use on the computer.

Thanks for looking :)

perhaps that i would like to share my thoughts also on india. only went there on two short trips of two weeks each. touts is an issue that plaque some places and often makes u feel uneasy whether should you get angry with a poor 10 year girl who wanted your money after u had taken her offer of her blessings, or if u had been conned by a few guys to pay extra for your train tickets, but thankfully they neither steal your bags or attack u which on the contrary happens in the richer countries.

as for heat, choose a good season to avoid the heat. and about the crowd, i was there for their kumbh mela where millions merged over a couple of weeks, but that is probably just about what i see in jurong point everyday (it kind of feel the same or worst). surely u won't get the same space with what australia can give, but there is always ways to get out of crowded places in india.

the one thing i had like india is that they do not seem to see photographers as weirdos, whereas i seem to get opposite experiences outside of asia.
