Hi sethgoh, yes it was largely coincidental
I saw these 2 paintings above me when I was in this restaurant, and I thought it could be interesting to shoot some passers-by walking in the same direction and form an image with synchroneity. While waiting, I spotted this couple dressed in matching colours with the characters in the painting and instantly I know it would form a fun juxtaposition. What was even luckier was that a man suddenly appeared in my viewfinder when I was composing the shot and without further ado, I pressed the shutter & voila! ;p

1/13secs handheld... and the iso was? how did you manage it? Can't see any noise and looks sharp...

coolthought, I can't remember the iso value (somehow it was not captured in the exif), but should be about iso800. I did remove the noise in post processing.

Sunset at Sengkang. These two shots were taken in 2007 during the contruction of the now Sengkang Sports Complex, which is one of the venues for the recent YOG.

i do like the feel and mood of this one. feels like it's closing time at the Cathay. has that nostalgic feel of those days...
