A rangefinder wedding to share

Hey everyone, just wanted to share a recent wedding I shot on rangefinders (2x Leica MP) and a medium format camera. My client wanted the whole wedding shot on film so I left my nikon digitals at home and pulled out the my beloved Leicas. It was such a fun liberating experience not having to deal with all the information in the viewfinder and just focusing on the important elements of the image. All the lenses were zeiss lenses, as all my leica lenses had to be sent into Leica NJ. I'll try and shoot like this more often. Here are the pics to share

Stunning pictures!!

Nope, everything was shot on film, scanned by the lab and put online. There was photoshop in 1 image. the one with the tilt shift effect. the rest were SOOC, that's why i love film and wish clients would request for all film more often. :)

Cool!

What film may I ask? Love the natural colors

Hi Royale, for the black and whites, they are fuji neopan 1600. For the color, i blew out my stock of fuji 800z on this wedding. So no more 800z for me as Fuji has stopped making the 800z :( I'll be trying the Kodak 800 portra soon, but even here in the US, the kodak 800 portra is very hard to find

oh cool!

Very nice colors from the film!

In Singapore here we only have the 160VC & 400VC, Kodak agent here in Singapore did not bring in the NC version.

Great stuffs!!! I just recently shot for my buddy's wedding. M8 ISO 1250 B&W settings. Got some great film like grain from these shots. Film Leica is pretty challenging to use for wedding dinner indoor setting.

Great work...thanks for sharing...

Thanks for the compliments guys, I really enjoyed shooting the wedding.

Zoom P, yes, I did check out your wedding images and thought you did good with the M8 and the 35 1.2. did you enjoy the process?

Royale, thanks for sharing, looks like you had waaayyyy less light than I had. I started this thread hoping that people would start sharing their rangefinder weddings. There's very few of us out there :D so it's good for me to see more work. Yes, when I was in Singapore, I used to ship in my 800 film from B&H

Due Biegletti, how are you? Haha, yes am now living back in the States due to my wife's job and the fact that it got sooooo expensive living in Singapore. But being here has also given me a chance to refresh creatively as the demands for shooting a wedding here are really different so I have a chance to explore new avenues and ways of shooting.

Looking forward to immersing more in rangefinder photography.

Way cool bro. Which part of States r u in right now? How's the film scene there?

To answer your question, yes I did enjoy the process. Much more than I thought cos' I was uncertain RF will do well in such low light without flash at a wedding banquet. Was glad it turned out well. I did take some pics with my M6 and ISO800 Fuji, unfortunately, the lab screwed up my shots so those were wasted.
