A proposal for a NEW Panasonic, Leica and Voigtlander B&S section

Dear CS Mods,


Panasonic has certainly made major inroads in the digital camera scene in the past few months their G1, GH1 and GF1 offerings. Panasonic also has its own equipment discussion page.

Leica's reputation is well-known amongst the more appreciative film and digital camera lovers here in Singapore.

Voigtlander, of course, makes excellent rangefinders, and their lenses are also usable with the aforementioned brands.

With their combined history of cooperation, interchangeability and innovation, maybe the CS Classifieds should have its own exclusive Panasonic, Leica and Voigtlander section. That way, their current section (OTHER BRANDS") would be more fitting for the more specialised brands.

What do you guys/girls think? :think:

Now please re-read the thread title and see that I was requesting for a new B&S section, not a new forum.

B&S. Buy & Sell. Not a forum.

i think this is rather appropriate and a good suggestion...

so when it's easier to find the lens/cameras you want rather than looking thru other brands camera, and see all the different brands and types of camera mixed up together.

maybe the admins can look into it.

It will be rather redundant as its not some mainstream items.

To date, there isn't much panasonic items on sale other than the P&S stuff, and to classify Leica with Panasonic is rather far fetch esp their film rangefinders.

If say having 2 more section, 1 Panasonic, and 1 Rangefinder, your full screen list will be even longer.

OK. Sorry for misreading the title. Anyways, I really do not see a need for a new bns forum. Leica and Voigtlander stuff can be easily found in the other brands lenses/cameras bns forum. Neither do I think Leica and Voigtlander stuff should be grouped together with Panasonic

Despite this, I agree on the fact that Panasonic should not be in the other brands lenses/cameras forum since these forums are mostly dominated by film cameras and lenses.

A much needed section in the personal classified is for BnS for all brands of PnS compacts. That will help to decluster the main DSLR sections.

Much needed is all members have self discipline to not do multiple posting and spam 1 item across the forum. Like selling a hoya filter and spam every section cos the hoya filter can fit every camera...

Next in line is patience. Dun upz the thread like no tomorrow... which is rather taken care of with the script.

Last, selling price or buying price have to be reasonable, but then its not up to us...

Which back to 1, we're not price police, and its hard for us to monitor every sales and point out who is rigging the prices.
