i found a neat oyster case for my LX3.

more pictures and write-up on the case have been posted here.

p/s: i know the strap clashes badly, but it's from my old camera and works great.

There is this shop at Central (Clarke Quay) @ 1st floor (not the one that sells a lot of luggage) that have a wide range of such small pouches for cameras, mp3 players etc. You might want to take a look if you are around the area. Cant remember the brand but the sales people told me its from US.
Sometimes they have a booth at the atrium area as well. Pricing is reasonable.

UPDATE : Got my own LX3 and went down to the shop to look for a case, but couldn't find any suitable ones for my LX3. The pouches are either too small or too big. Ended up purchasing a snug fitting one from Sports Connection, only $17. Barely enough space for one camera and spare battery. Sling or belt hook option. Only minus point is the colour *yikes* but no choice, function over form prevails this time :)

sorry, don't know whether it's an LX2 case coz i had to buy a case separately. it's not tight at all actually. has 2 other inner side pockets (on on each side) which i put SD cards, a cleaning cloth and spare battery. in this pic, the side pockets are actually not in view at the top and bottom of the photo.

You can just un-velcro the belt strap for easy attachment to belt.
A sling is provided if u wish to sling over your shoulder.

anyone knows where the DMW-CLX3 leather case can be found? this is the original nice leather case for the LX3.

Alan photo got one .... was enquiring abt the original LX3 casing too ..... they are selling at $99 .. that was ard a week ago ...

I bought a Lowepro Terraclime 30 after reading that it fits well etc. Well, quite true to what most people say, it fits snugly but if you try to put spare batt with casing in, the pouch becomes a bit too tight for comfort. As mentioned earlier posts also the material does feel a bit thin, but it does have a little bit of those shock absorption capabilities (material depresses and pops back when you press it in). Would say that it wouldn't protect the camera very much if you drop it, but its still a good looking, top loading pouch (good for neck strap) that can either be slung or put on the belt. I think its defintely more waterproof/splash-proof than the leather casing that comes with LX3.

Closed Terraclime 30 with LX3 inside.

How it looks like inside with a spare battery (in casing)

How the pouch compares in size with the LX3 when taken out

got it at max photo at centerpoint. if i recall correctly it should be around $20. you're spot on. took the photo with my sony P1i. the macro mode on the P1i is not bad actually.

lowepro Terraclime-30 is a bit too soft le... definitely not enuf protection. It juz feel like a normal pouch. Din manage to get the oyster case, I think tat 1 offers a neat fitting and enuf protection.

I got myself a lowepro rezo 50 instead. S$17 at CP. http://products.lowepro.com/product/Rezo-50,2014.htm
Juz a nice size for LX-3. But if u wan fitting, get Rezo 40 but no stock at CP.

hi guys, just wonder, does Leica 18669 leather case fits LX3 nicely? anybody knows where to get this in Singapore?

It fits my Leica, but not sure if it fits the LX3. I would assume it does, since almost all the accessories that fit one fit the other as well. The two are, for all intents and purposes, the same camera, except for colour and brand.

However, I do know that Cathay sells the case, but retail price is around $190.

The leica leather case can fit the lx3. The staff at AP recommended it to me when I asked for a leather case. I just bot this from ebay instead as it's much cheaper, yet to arrive.

have a pic of the national geo pouch?

Hi guys! just wondering, will a casing with magnetic clasp be detrimental to the camera in any way?

Lowepro Apex 110W - http://products.lowepro.com/product/Apex-100-AW,1900,20.htm

Deep enough to store the camera on its side. Comes with a separator. SD card flap for extra memory cards. A side slot on the inside to store your extra batteries, or you can just slip them in at the front flap. The padding are thick enough. Side strap it, carabina it, sling it to your waist or just slot it onto your belt. Its big enough for camera, spare batteries, cleaning cloth, memory cards.

Challenger selling it for $25 member's price. A little bulky but the extra space can be a life saver sometimes.
