A new 50mm f1.8 AF-D or Secondhand?

Got a first hand from Max photo at Amk Hub....

Called a few shops to check out the price and they all sounded very IMpatient.
Most of them quoted me 180 without filter,
Max photo sounded very sincere and quoted me something below 180 on the first reply.
and after some bargaining, the boss throws in a filter

Decided to check Ms Color (Amk Hub)
quoted me 190 alone...then i smiled,
then he said 180 without filter, 190 with filter
I declined of course.

Wanna recommend Max photo to those who wanna purchase 1sthand lens.
Good and honest service.
and yes! finally owned one 1sthand lens

Wanted to get the lens too.
Is Max Photo at the same level as NTUC and in front of the rows of food stalls?
How much exactly did u buy it?

Not sure if it's ok to reveal the price here, but as i was working at amk, the amt he quoted me is among the lowest quoted by other shops.

It was his positive atitude and travelling to further places means incurring more cost that made me decide to buy the lens there

Call to ask them for the price ba
Might be going back there to buy a reversing ring

btw, a reverse ring is NOT so easy to use... dun buy becase it is cheap....
if you dun use it, you end up wasting your money....
the DOF is very very narrow on a reverse mounted 50mm.... borrow one from friend and try first....
you might not like it.... i did not like it

Yup, asked Lord's, MSC, Parislink, CP all around that price.

Hmm i think whether buying 2nd hand or brand new, just buy what you can afford, dont struggle to meet the end if u got that lens but nothing to eat.

If can buy 1st hand, if not 2nd hand is ok what or else how come singaporeans always have forums for 2nd hang goods.

btw just bght 1 from CP- $175
