eh thats not the right way to use a finger spool :p

don't use auto in photoshop, have to manually adjust to get the correct colors.

get a strobe :p :bsmilie:

Errr! Ok! I will get the Strobe.

The spool thingy is beyond me now. :bsmilie:

His thumb is outside the spool. :)

got hole, poke......what's wrong?

btw, lovells is the resident expert on E900.....goto his website to see his E900 pics.

Oops, sorry on closer inspection, it wasn't me holding the spool! ;p:sweatsm:

BUT we were on the same trip :bsmilie:
yeah that's lloyd with the spool..haha.

what's the right way to hold the spool? i use my index finger to go through, and my thumb on the line to stop it. is it dangerous to hold it like this? thanks in advance

not really, but the index finger and thumb forms a more secure ring? :)

oh ok..my fingers short, cannot form a ring. hahaha lucky other parts are long enough *phew*
((=

TS.... did you use 'Custom' white balance when shooting underwater ?? Most PnS camera can't get the white balance correct.... even if you use the white card thingy. I know, I tried .:bsmilie:

Thank you Sir. I feel very :embrass: now... :bsmilie: Let me declared the quality of the photo has got nothing to do with the camera.

i retire already!

You may have retired the camera la!... How to retire skill.... ;)

I read about setting white balance but not sure how. :bsmilie:

I should have shot Raw since the camera provides. A little regret. The time it write the file to the card seems super slow when underwater. Shoot Raw will be even longer. I imagine too much. Can't even control my buoyancy, even the camera is ready, I may not. :bsmilie:

Eh! I think u meant "TL" la! ;)

Shooting RAW would be good as you can tweak the white balance etc.. buy a high speed SD card, will help a bit. I have an Extreme III (Sandisk) which writes RAW to my G9 is about 2.5-3 secs... ok for snapshots, but still the speed of a DSLR!

sadly E900 uses a XD card,

jpeg usually the camera writes quite fast, it the flash recharging that takes about 6sec,

if you shoot in raw, it also takes about 6sec to write. but it gives u sometime to breath!! :D

if u use flash, set auto wb, infact, my white balance is always on auto, jpeg/raw :p

Nice first shots I'd say.
About post processing, I had (and still have :) ) the same problem.
Here is a link which helped be quite a lot at the beginning:

Hope you enjoy...
Cheers,
Pierre.

Thanks again for the link. The tutorial really help to restore so much natural color from Jpeg file. Really Incredible.

colors still didn't look right to me....

anyway, 6-8 sec to write is fine. gives u time to compose the image in your mind before shooting. you will be surprised at your images after giving it a little thought before pressing that shutter.

which is why a picture is different from a snap shot
