a shop in marina square sells Lomos...it's called Molecule...but need to make sure they got stock.

Btw...how's the charge for Lomo processing? Is Lomo film the same as a 35mm film? Will buy one soon.

yup...if I'm not wrong...should be the same as normal 35mm film development...hvta tell the ppl at the shop thou...cos they'll see 4 pics in a single frame... :bsmilie:

The Lomo cameras are also sold at Kinokuniya, the section with all the Fine Arts books. Price ranges from $80+ to more than $100

Hey Kelvin,

Just wanna ask you huh...the above last pic quite nicely done...do you need to use a tripod or support?...the exposure for the cam is standard one ah...is there a meter inside?...heh...

processing is the same as any other 35mm film. You also use a regular 35mm film altho, you are encouraged to use brands like "Lucky"--made in china-- or the likes...thing is lomo seems to pride themselves in the imperfection and the effect the camera creates becos of these imperfections.

Personally...I'll be trying out with some of the pro films....lets see what we get...=)

I'm not too sure abt the specs but basically...you would want to shoot in bright light and no you dont need a tripod...besides there's nowhere to mount on the camera.

In addition, before you get shock when you hold your first sampler...the view finder is a rectangular plastic thing on one side of the camera...no glass no nothing. I was very amused.

Cheers

hey kelvin, did you use a flash for that shot with the couple in the sunset? cos it didn't create a silhouette at the low lying setting sun.

also, with the lomo, how would you know what the viewfinder gives you would be what you capture on film? since extending your arms further away from you would give you a tighter crop? thanks in advance for you tips :)

HI Jerms...

no flash was used. The sampler has a version with flash if i am not wrong but mine was the one without. Cheers

I think i wanna start lomo. which cam is good to start with?

hey iamasaint,

i tried with my supersampler on 800film. the one that came with the lomo. and i was disappointed that it couldn't shoot well under sunset lighting. the better shots came out in really really bright bright sunlight between 9am to 5pm. were those the times you used to shoot the supersampler?

have you tried using profilm yet? or slides? how has the turn out been?

thanks for sharing if you dun mind :)

nice. love the shots. yay for lomos ahehehe.

very cool! but the 4-frame thingy a bit too "novelty" and too much for the eyes if viewed in excess ;P
can it be enlarged to ard 12R sizes? it'd be an inexpensive, artistic work.

here's someone who knows how to use vignetting to his advantage...
...such beautiful skies!!!
absolutely applaudable, both for his shots and his venture into a wedding with a lomo.

just curious though... did the couple give you any funny looks when you took out your lomo? :D

Hi all... thanks for the comments. From experience its best to shoot with good light but don let that hinder you. You have to realise tho that the aperture is fixed at f8...if i'm not wrong. Use at least a iso800 film. That will aid you.

Lomo pics actually look pretty good in 8R prints. I have tried it and it looks great! =)

As for the looks...na... the couple was game for it...
