It was a night filled with scents, colours, chanting and rhythms of Indian musical instruments at Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple. Hindu devotees came to honour their Lord and fulfilling vows by subjecting themselves to various forms of physical pain and burden for his blessings. It's definitely an eye-opener for me being the first time attending Thaipusam festival and having documented it on 35mm film. A valuable experience less the exhaustion and fatigue.
All pics are shot on either Fuji Natura 1600 or Superia 1600 and straight from scans. Personally, I find both films rendering pretty similar in terms of colors and grains despite the former being more expensive.
