Hello kc123,Hi Martian,
Sorry to interrupt. How can i get so sharp pictures of birds? What Camera and Lens do you used for these shots.
I hope to get some decent shots (may not be as sharp as yours but presentable).
Thanks.

Most of us use a tripod for birding, except a few guys just handheld their shots.
A good tripod with a stable ballhead or gimbal will support & stabilise your system to minimise camera shake.
Many other birders in this forum have much sharper pictures than mine. Maybe you should ask them how they got their pictures so sharp. (secret, they use prime lens :bsmilie

I'm using nikon D7K and a poor man's birding lens, the humble tammy 200-500mm lens.

Keep shooting and shoot right. It's ok to fail a few times. With failures, comes success
Also do some decent PP to your shots
Hope I answered your questions. If those are the wrong answers, pls ask again or you can ask any other more experienced birders here. Am sure they"ll answer your questions.
Thank you ted.Nice chestnut-winged Cuckoo. Guess is last year catch .
