Subject: [SgFreecycle] OFFER: 8 x 10 Enlarger for B&W and Color

I am posting this again and I hope the the person who will take this enlarger will really use it!! Bad karma will happen to the person who takes it to re-sell!
Its a DE VERE 5108 DICHROMAT and its for 8 x 10 negatives. If you are not shooting with 8 x 10, then forget it cos you cannot use for other sizes. The enlarger is quite big and will need 2 people to move it and further more, you will need a van or a truck.
I have NO TIME to answer a million questions and would appreciate a firm date and time for collection!!
Thanks.

i think it's for 8X10 film. u can't use it for 35mm nor medium format. not enlarger that prints 8X10 but a large format enlarger.

the person might have thought that 35mm enlarger to do 8X10 prints.

correct me if i'm wrong.

i think the post is really mislead, i really thought it is the enlarger that capable of doing 8 x 10 hand print.

I do not think the post is misleading.

when we mention 35mm enlarger, is really mean the enlarger is only can take up up to 35mm film. a 45 enlarger, is only can take up up to 4x5 film, not saying the size of paper output.

you can project any enlarger to a wall, so you can make larger print, regardless what is the size of the enlarger.

hope this 8x10 enlarger able to find a good home.

thanks, now understand..will bypass cos this is too big to me.

The 8X10 enlarger normally project the image on the wall, the print paper you use normally roll paper and you need a machine to process the paper, when I was working in one of the professional lab 10 over years ago, the lab had a few of these projectors.

why don't you find a school to donate it to?

Lasalle, Nafa, maybe objectifs or a local visual arts society?

i'd think they would put it to much better use.

karma works, but need to guide one.

#1. Is Not My Enlarger, just happen to come across this and pass the words around.

#2. Is Not a small Enlarger, you CAN'T use 35mm film, 120 film, 4x5film on it.

#3. It is very BIG, will take up a lot of space to set up.

#4. It is very BIG and HEAVY, it need two persons and a pickup truck to transport it.

#5. If you don't know what is, don't own a, don't shoot with 8x10 camera... you won't need this enlarger.
