80-200mm Vario Elmar R on M240

Is this the F4 or F2.8 version? Probably pretty front heavy on the M...

It is the F4 non APO, lighter...1kg version.

Thsee results really tempt me to go for the 2.8 APO 70-180mm Elmarit R,....what the hack on 2kg!

That's really front heavy. :bsmilie:

But there's an interesting warm rendering to the lens, which is something I once observed with a 50/2 Summicron-R I used to own.

The 80-200/2.8 is also insanely expensive! Even the f4 version makes me really pause because dealers on ebay are demanding like 2.6K USD.

This lens is employed as my travelling companion when I wish to cut the weight of a 90mm AA + APO 180mm Elmarit R.
However it has not stop amazing me on the details it can capture despite its non exotic origins.

Capturing a shot of a native Chinese Bulbul feeding on bread crums off my hotel belcony in a quite winter morning in Disneyland Hong Kong was the last thought on my mind while my wife and daughter were still well asleep then.
