juz got my new pc running. Speed using LR is faster, but not what I expected. Seems like my old Dell can perform as well if for lack of RAM.
For Vista, where's the disk manager? RAID0 half my HDD but still need to format the other half of each HDD.

Yah true, me using C2D now, compared to my office PC (Dell, running P4 dunno what iteration tho) its considerably faster, esp when multitasking...but also could be due in part to the larger RAM as well...using 2Gig in my home rig compared to 512MB at work. :sweatsm:Speed wise, i can feel a difference on a C2D as compared to a P4 (a,b or c) or the later Pentium D.
