The lowest so far is $2.4K for the body only. No CF card. No extra battery.

same batt as 5dmk2, usage of 3rd party batteries does not display additional battery information data
on a side note, the original batt cost about $130-135 each...

gst included. If not will be $2568. Cash. Nets must add $20. Along beach road.

i just got my 7D body from AP ...SGD2450 include GST for cash payment only ..bought another addition 16GB Scandisk CF EXtreme III for SGD 110 .....
still figuring on how to use it .....>_<

Collected my 7D, it has a cool viewfinder, still figuring on how to set different AF :)

Wah! So envy with most of you all who got your 7D today. Still need to convince myself to stick to my existing 50D before deciding to upgrade, probably end of the year. Just hope you all would share your experiment with this new babe.

I checked with SDS Photo Pte Ltd @ #01-18 Sim Lim Sq, my friend quoted me only body $2,400 incl GST. Good Price

Let's cross the finger:think:

thought u announced u not buying the 7D?

You're right. :bsmilie: Firstly, I wasn't sure if I could get one before my trip. Secondly, early reports that some copies have low ISO banding freaked me out. That's why I was vacillating whether I would get it or not.

Fortunately, stock arrived early so I figured I will have enough time for some rigorous testing. Just started on them... Luckily my copy is completely free from low ISO banding (tested with Rawnalyze)! What a relief! Also, no AF micro-adjustment needed for my main walkabout lens too. Cool.

But AF is kind of iffy in low light... Cannot compare to the 450D and 50D. Hmmm.... let me investigate more.

Is this how you do it?

Take a RAW shot with lens cap on (I know it sounds stupid). Manual, f/8, 1/1000 sec, ISO 100/200.

Open with Rawnalyze. Adjust the white and black point for better contrast and visibility.

You can check each channel with shift_1 (red), shift_3 (blue), shift_4 (green1) and shift_5 (green2). Return to normal view using ctrl_1.

PS: Upon more careful investigation, I found my main lens needs +5 AF microadjustment. 70-200 and 100 macro are fine. Weird 'cos they are all fine on my old body.
