Should be around $200+

Cheers,

Price quoted to me about a month ago $250/-

So expensive....

The price of the IR filter increase exponentially with the thread size. A smaller thread size is much cheaper.

A 52mm Hoya R72 is only $32.

My WA lenses are 77mm thread...

Using DSLRs, would there be any cost savings to use a 72mm filter with a step down ring? Shouldn't have vignette with the 1.5 crop rite?

But...anyone knows how much a 72mm one costs?

Normally, i use 77mm filter to step down to 72mm.

As I spoken to Stan last week. Might get a 72mm R72 and crop away the vigneted corner...

Yup. 77mm ones are crazily priced. Bought one at $200+ I remember. SOld it off after I started using my tiny cam for IR.

Chey, I tot you still own it then I can happily bollow bollow to pray.

Hehehe. Sold it off liao lor. $200 can buy a lot of beer u noe? :bsmilie:

So using a 72mm R72 will result in a vignetted corner even on 1.5x DSLRs?

By the way, you know how much a 72mm one costs? If the cost savings is substantial can consider :)

This is because your lens has a 77mm thread. Try blocking your lens (any lens) edge with something to see if there's anything? ;p

BTW, I think you can find it somewhere. Been posted many times... $150+++?

Thanks for the price update.

Guess have to test if there's vignetting - I'd have thought a 1.5x crop using a FF lens may mitigate the problem somewhat.

Thanks for your input! :)

Just realise no price guide for 72mm so far... haha

Please ignore my previous input. :)

I got my 72mm R72 for ~S$120 ..

Wow thats almost half the price of the 77mm - perhaps I can live with some vignetted corners :)

Did you get yours at CP?
