no problem

The coating is more likely to reduce flare and internal reflections.
If you are in a tight budget, perhaps can get the single-coated one if the price difference is too great for u. But at least try to get a single-coated one.
ic ic...

ok will be going shopping soon!

so either CP or TCW is good to patronise eh?

if it's CP...get a phone quote before going down, or check out the rought selling price or get a friend who knows the market well along with you. Sometimes, the sales staff there might decide to quote you a few bucks more.

Pai seh.... my question not clear.... actually, I need more information on the use and cost of ND filters... is it better to get a 2x one or a 4x one? Then there are these graduated ND filters.... how to use and how much do they cost?

eheh..i don't want type a lot blah blah..then you know lioas mah..

a 4x (blocks 2 stops of light) or 8x(4 stops of light0 will be good. In fact, a 4x will be good to start out with if you haven't use any before.
Graudated ones are for landscape pictures, equalizing the brighness of the sky and ground objects, so that you don't get over-exposed skys.
The upper portion of the portion cuts the light while the lower portion is clear. So for landscape, it will darken the sky and give it more detail while allowing you to also expose for the foreground.
as for cost, i'm not sure lioas..

Say you bought a 1k lens and put on a $10 UV, your images will only be as good as the $10 UV. Then why bother buy a 1k lens?
Not really. If you are not shooting towards a light source, you can get away with dirty optics. Ever shoot through a not-so-clean window or with water droplets on the glass?

The UV will be on your lens all the time, so might as well get a gd one.
However, I agree with this part. :D
