how is the wide open sharpness? Mr David Kirkpatrick did not comment on this....

Oh, you got the one from CP? I was first in line for that one, but MS Color had stocks 2-3 weeks ago. CP called me yesterday to ask if I wanted it, I said no. Guess you got that one.
hand-held at 300mm is ok.... I'm very happy with it.

Yeah - they called me yesterday (3 times!) and said I was first in line too
... probably meant first in line after you had turned it down. They claimed they had a list of interested people. Anyway, I was pretty intent on this thing, so decided to go for it... but it's a little big to hide from the girlfriend.

Got mine today, hate the stiff zooming ring..darn! I wish this lens comes with tripod collar.

r u sure... tat thing is long and big ! how to hide from yr gf.. why not keep in office cabinet first.
come to think of it.... 18-250 is the best lens for those who dun like to change lens.
err..i believe its Rashkae who has the 70-300G instead of greenieadi.. unless bro greenieadi also went to get one after seeing Rashkae's photo....
Anyway yeah Rashkae do post more shots! =)
