I still need a lot of practice. I salivate at the 3D n bokeh n sharpness n color...... much difference between them..... I could be hooked.....
I find the ZE 50's colour and sharpness pretty similar to my 50L, but '3D-ness' to be a little better.

I got tired of waiting for canon's... plus I got piss off by canon.... the price point is just nice for me... so I leaped.... for the color n 3 D....
I'm still fine with Canon, no qualms with it and I have all the lenses I need plus a FF body. Ironically I did have plans before selling all my Canon equipment and go Leica instead. That being said, it all boils down to manual lenses again.
I reach FF with 6D... so I am good... and I am slowing down on photography expenditure... as I now feel I am the barrier to GREAT PHOTOS....
ZE 50mm f1.4 was cos I needed a standard lens... and 50L is beyond me...
I've stopped spending on photography equipment for now too though.
Economy, papers can suggest what they want but real inflation is hitting hard.... for us who do not wear all white. Brace for more cost increase in 2014.
Till then, if I've more things to buy but highly unlikely.
Unless you get a good salary increment... if not... better to be prudent....![]()
The salary increment will also go to family and home expenses, not these equipment.
Of course, with family commitment... these are all secondary....
Especially when Canon sensors are caught in a rut... no improvement over the past what... 4 years? bsmilie: The incentive to change gear is very low... not exactly a bad thing... :bsmilie:
If Photography is only a hobby... yes.. if you are making money from it, it is an investment....

LOL... I got pissed off by Canon CSC recently.... so no incentive to buy Canon for a while... my 7D & 6D can last a long while.... :sticktong
It's been my hobby all these while and my fave to be exact. Now will other priority commitment, have lesser and lesser time to shoot.
My 5D's already nearly 7 years and still working well, definitely your gear can last a long time to come.![]()
Sigh.... when you have more commitment, shooting time will be lesser, so I think that is the pretty same story for most of us here....
5D Classic??? Cool... lol... Mine still have a long time to go... 7D for events, and 6D for portraits, and landscape.....![]()
That's right, it's just part and parcel of life when we're in our next phase of life. Family commitment takes up most of our time hence have a lot lesser time for photography as said...so have to see if can squeeze in any time for that, though it's going to be hard.
Yes have been using the first 5D since 2007 and before that, a 10D. I've no plans to lug around two cameras when going for shoots so one camera for everything. I've also no budget for a new camera now.
