Well.. I would go for it rather than 3rd party.. Unless of course budget is tight and the particular 3rd party lens is really cheap (50%~60% of OM) or highly rated..

True, I would go for KM one (or Sony one) also for the compability and support, unless the 3rd party one is really good or cheap.

The only 3rd party lens I have is the Tokina 100mm Macro.. The only reason I bought it is because it's quite well rated, and only $545 vs Canon's 100mm Macro ~$1.1k.. We are 1 big happy family, regardless of camera brand I also have Nikon, Sony, Fuji and Panasonic
