6-Bit Coding for LTM and VC/Zeiss for M8/M9

Anyone of you is trying to DIY for 6-bit coding of lens for Leica M8/M9? Any tips? For LTM lenses, I just bought the Kipon adapter with 6-bit coding then I just use marker to mark the coding based on this website. My problem is for M-Mount old Leica, voigtlander and Zeiss. And also Kipon adapter quality is not good. Any suggestions or tips?
