i guess this is life... just like stocks, never the best time to buy.:sweat:

i bought mine first few days of jan, wife encouraged me hard to go for it. i think i have been much happier taking photos since i have the camera so i still think it was worth it, otherwise we couldn't go out taking photos together with 2 cameras. heart pain, a little yes.. but no point harping on it, the camera has its value in our hearts when we decided to pay for it, if it becomes cheaper subsequently it just helps others to reach that point that they also decide to pay for it, it shouldn't diminish that value. happy or not the price has been paid, the camera has been bought, so love it more since it costs more ;p

hope that its true that having more FF users means more focus might be put into developing/improving lens that suit this category of cameras?

good for the bros who held out or are going to get it at the reduced prices! it's a great deal so go get it!

Feels like Canon is trying to pull a fast one on Nikon's D700 replacement.

Mid-life firmware update + Sudden price drop= Pulling alot of consumers who are undecided over before it comes up....voi la..... no one is gonna sell a 1 month old 5D2 to go over to Nikon!

Anyone checked with MS Colour/AP/CP for the price?

I just got back from Parsilik Holland V and the price is correct. Body at $2960 (w/o GST) and Body + kit lens (24-105) at $4276 (w/o GST) if you pay by cash. (jaw drop). They are running out of stock soon.

It's original Canon warranty & plus 3 months if you register online.
