Tried the 5d on the steadicam pilot today, some problems with weight distribution, being a steadicam novice i'm sure we had it set up wrongly some how. will post shots shortly.

just thought this was a cool photo.

becareful it's not a toy ! using it wrongly causes great harm and pain :)

bro, using it with 5DmkII will not cause too much harm lah.....try that on a full size cam like the HDCAM, DigiBeta, or even an Arri 16SRII, and the danger and risk will escalate. ;)

no harm nor pain just very whippy.

Mm. My dream steadicam. Probably one the most inconspicuous way of shooting video:P

Gimbal need to be closer to stage. Use the metal screw in weights to attached to the stage. The camera is very lightweight need more mass to create dynamic balance. If you are using Vlock battery or Anton Bauer would be easier. Good luck in your tuning!

nice

yes we sorted out the weight on second attempt with extra weights (the ones which are impossible to get out of the bag) and it worked like a charm, esp with a 10mm lens

Hmm. How about posting some footage for people like me who cannot afford a pilot.

unfortunately the stuff that we shot was for a friends solemnisation and the footage is to be shown at his reception next year so can't show it off till then.

i still dun understand why couples do the solemnisation and reception seperate!!

yeah tat will escalate lah but due to the imbalance nature as shown in the pics sumone on the sides will get a nasty whack on the face hee3
