I hear the 5D Mark III is actually the Camera to end all Cameras.

But Canon has to sell the 1D Mark IV, so it has made it slightly crippled so that the 5D Mark III will not end the 1D Mark IV.

I heard that the 5DMK3 will read your thoughts and produce a photo based on the image in your headache! ;p

5D Mark III
Reports that a few select photographers in Australia have been testing prototypes of the replacement to the 5D Mark II. Australia is used a lot as a testing ground by the sounds of it. Any replacement that comes will definitely arrive in Q4 of 2011 at the earliest.

A couple of folks have mentioned that Canon’s recent manufacturing woes could delay some products in 2011.

Around $3800. But if they want to give you 7D's equivalent AF system definitely have to pay more. 10% increase sounds reasonable. And also their so called 1Ds Mark IV may be replaced by another series, surely they will up the price to make the 5D mark III their flagship full frame

Got this info from Canon Rumours about 5D Mark III. Some more clarification about the upcoming 5D Mark III. It will be moving a bit more high end with an improved 7D AF system. Expect it November/December 2011.

Nah, 1D will always have the ultimate iso range. I believe it will remain at 1.3 crop too. Different class of supporters.

Likely a 1D mark V that will be full frame and high fps. Right now 1D4 lose out to D3s in terms of noise because of full frame and lower mp.
